East Asian studies - East Asian Studies is a distinct interdisciplinary field that promotes a broad humanistic understanding of East Asian culture past and present. East Asian Studies is both multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary in character (incorporating elements of economics, history, literature, sociology, film, and art history, among others), and encourages scholars from diverse disciplines to exchanges ideas on scholarship as it relates to the East Asian experience.
East Asian Cup - The East Asian Cup is a football competition of East Asian countries and territories, held by the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF). China, South Korea and Japan always have the right to automatically enter the competition, while other East Asian countries have to go through a qualifying round, when each team plays each of the other teams once, and the team that tops the table qualifies for the finals.
East Asian languages - East Asian languages or the East Asian sprachbund describe two notional groupings of languages in East and Southeast Asia, either (1) languages which have been greatly influenced by Classical Chinese, or the CJKV Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese) area or (2) a larger grouping including the CJKV area as well as several language groups of Southeast Asia including other Sino-Tibetan languages, Tai-Kadai, and Austronesian languages.
